We really love the original Faunascapes but sometimes they seem a bit too colorful to match any interior, so we decided to make a black and white version for a more neutral look. Instead of just pushing the greyscale button in Photoshop we went with the more labor intensive but much more satisfying solution of a pencil drawing which really gives the well known Faunascapes compositions a nice hand-held feeling and adds some soul to the whole desaturation process.
The winter landscape inside the swan is a lake/river in Murnau, Bavaria, southern Germany with the German Alps in the background.
