The Faunascapes Flower Portrait Series features a set of excentric animal and flower double exposure portraits. The dark style with the black background and heavy shadows enhances the squlpturesque qualities and unique personality of the animals and is heavily inspired by the clair obscur (chiaroscuro) painting techniques as developed by Italian renaissance painters and refined by the Dutch masters in the 17th and 18th century.
